Challenge

Goodreads is the world's largest digital book cataloguing system, but the interface is dated, the the visual identity is bland, and it's lost relevance with younger readers. Additionally, Booktok and Booktube have transformed reading culture into a shared experience based on conversation.



Solution

The brand was repositioned as Chapter Chat, a social-first reading platform designed for the next generation of book lovers. By placing community at its core, it bridges the gap between online and real world connections. From simply tracking books to also talking about them and reframing reading from a solitary habit to a shared identity.
